Fees for Couples Therapy and Individual Psychotherapy

Couples Therapy
Couples sessions are usually 75 or 90 minutes in length. Fee is $250 for a 75-minute session; $300 for a 90-minute session. Initial consultations are 90 minutes in length. Fees for longer sessions are pro-rated based on hourly fee of $200.
Individual Therapy
Individual sessions are usually 45 minutes or 60 minutes in length. Fee is $150 for a 45-minute session; $200 for a 60-minute session. Initial consultations are 60 minutes in length. Fees for longer sessions are pro-rated based on hourly fee of $200.

About Managed Care and Insurance Panels

I have made a careful decision not to be a participating provider for any managed care programs. Being such a provider would mean that I would be employed by the insurance company instead of working directly (and privately) for you.

Many of my clients prefer to work with a therapist outside of their insurance plans for a variety of reasons, such as:

You enjoy a much greater degree of privacy and confidentiality, as I am not required to share a great deal of your personal information and history with the insurance companies.
We are not limited to only a certain number of sessions or certain treatment protocols that are determined by the insurance companies in order to tightly control their costs.
Because you are working directly and privately with me, we can decide together on the methods we will use and the length of time we will work together, rather than having these decisions made by an arbitrary third party.

I provide each client with a monthly statement which you can submit to your insurance company. If you are permitted by your plan to work with someone out of your network, you will receive reimbursement according to your plan's provisions.
