EMDR in Washington, DC

One of the most powerful tools I use in psychotherapy is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

- EMDR is a therapy technique that was first developed to help people heal from trauma by greatly reducing the distress caused by traumatic memories.
- EMDR is also enormously effective in shifting core negative beliefs, which helps reduce anxiety and depression.
- EMDR can help you get un-stuck by strengthening your belief in what you can achieve, so that you can more easily move forward.

In my work as a therapist with individuals and couples, I am continually impressed by EMDR's ability to help people make profound shifts in how they think and feel. This often happens in a short time and with a great sense of breakthrough.
